On the Rock Will I Stand

On the Rock Will I Stand

 

As darkness gives way to light,

Its strength is diminished.

Clear is everything in sight

As the soul is replenished.

 

Hard times come

In all life demands.

When all is said and done,

On the Rock will I stand.

 

The faith He has given to me

Is more than enough

To make me complete.

My expectations are up.

 

Goals reached,

High and lofty make land

When His Presence I seek,

On the Rock will I stand.

 

In my spirit, I stand on His Word,

What comes my way,

He is my Lord

In every day.

 

So, I’ll praise His Name

As I know He will do what He said.

Holding on to the promises He gave…
