Mending Broken Nets

 

Preparing to cast the net into the sea

Hoping to bring in a bounty,

They were called for something more,

Which required followed footprints upon the shore.

 

Seeking lost souls

Is the ultimate goal.

With hearts fully set--

Mending broken nets.

 

Setting free the captive in you

By forgiveness so true.

Resentment has to flee

So you and I can find God’s peace.

 

Fishers of men reaching out to the hurting,

Casting a light to hearts burning,

Making available the Lord’s atonement--

Mending broken nets.

 

Repairing relationships one at a time

To the Father’s grace on high.
Ushering souls into His mighty arms,

We must sound the alarms!

 

For God in His mercy

Sent Jesus to set us free.

With love, the call was met--

Mending broken nets.
