The Son in the MangerA Poem by Melinda McQueenThe Son in the Manger
The star shone big and bright Against a dark night. Shining the way To the baby dreaming in the hay.
The Truth come to be, The promise received. The perfect sacrifice-- The Son in the manger ever alive.
Filled with hope Were all made known. The Healer come to atone For all the wrong.
As the starlight shed upon His face, So did the light of His marvelous grace. The love of God dwelling in a baby-- The Son in the manager dreaming of peace.
Angels gathered in heavenly realms, In celebration of Him. All the world made joyous By the gift wondrous.
Love shone big and bright For all time. Christ the Savior-- The Son in the manger. © 2017 Melinda McQueenReviews
