The Perfectly Wrapped GiftA Poem by Melinda McQueen
The Perfectly
Wrapped Gift Paper,
ribbons and bows, All on
the floor in no rhyme or pose. Scattered
about, yet used to beautifully tie Together
in colors bright. Packaged
just so, And soon
to be known. Hoping
to give The perfectly
wrapped gift. For it’s
all in the preparation, (Or so
they say,) in the decoration. Glitter
for the eyes While
the gift is disguised. Securely
placed beneath Ready
to give spirits a lift-- The perfectly
wrapped gift. When
time comes, All the
wrapping will be undone And all
will be revealed With
such cheer. One day
the Savior graced a tree All
because a swaddled baby lived-- The
perfectly wrapped gift. © 2017 Melinda McQueenReviews
