Purpose in the RainA Poem by Melinda McQueen
Purpose in the Rain A tiny seed Lies just beneath-- Beneath turned soil, For a time, recoiled. All the while, Storms rumbled for miles. Unwilling to refrain, Seeking purpose in the rain. The thunder roars, And the rain… oh does it pour. The lightning comes alive Across the midnight sky. The stars did hide In a painful fright, As the clouds released their weight, Letting lose purpose in the rain. For it began to bloom out, Sprout by sprout. Having grown to fulfillment, Acknowledging each storm as heaven-sent. A tiny seed Lies just beneath-- Hidden in the soul is all one needs to gain Purpose in the rain. © 2018 Melinda McQueenReviews
