She Dances in the LightA Poem by Melinda McQueen
She Dances
in the Light A wind
blew Through
her timid soul. Needing
to feel its rush, For she
has only danced in the shadows. Now,
floating on air, She moves
in her own right She
dances in the light. Showering
upon her Are
blessings she thought only lived in her dreams. Like
a curtain ripping, She
can see them coming to be. A steadiness
fills her As
she believes with all her might. She dances
in the light. She prays
it to be, Yes,
the fulfillment of her heart’s desire. A longing
as steadfast As a
raging fire. A wind
blows While
the breeze she rides. With
her hand in his-- She
dances in the Light. © 2018 Melinda McQueenReviews
