When the Sun ShinesA Poem by Melinda McQueenWhen the Sun Shines
Flowers bloom, Birds soar in a blue sky. Lakes sparkle In its delight.
Night becomes day As darkness takes flight. The light breaks through When the sun shines.
Though clouds assemble As a heavy weight, The sun is still present Just beyond the haze.
A new grace found, A mercy recites. A renewed hope sustained When the sun shines.
A little rain may fall As clouds roll through, But the light shall come And make everything new.
Grey shadows fall away As they’re captured by the light. So too, do our former selves… When the Son Shines. © 2018 Melinda McQueenReviews
