There's Something About the RainA Poem by Melinda McQueenThere’s Something About the Rain
The rain falls in sheets, As the ripples the earth meets. A powerful force Coming from a high source.
There’s
something about the rain… that frees the mind… that transcends time.
Grey clouds give way To showers at noonday. Nourishing a parched soul With blessings in overflow.
There’s something about the rain… that washes clean a heartache… that reaches more than skin… that heals from within.
The light shines forth After the rain pours. A new hope unfolds Into something the heart longs to hold.
There’s something about the rain… that seeks solace rather than worldly gain… that finds peace in God and His timing… that from Him, there’s no hiding. © 2018 Melinda McQueen |
