Something Called Faith

Something Called Faith

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Something Called Faith

The light shines,

Beckoning ships to it.

She awaits the day

Hers will come in.

Still and calm,

She sits upon the shore.

Hoping with all she is,

Knowing there’s more.

The ocean of her life roars.

Waves crash as wildly as her thundering heart.

Needing tangible reassurance,

From whence her dreams had their start.

Longing to be as the waves,

Freely moving on its tide.

Yes, she was on a current,

Along for the ride.

Her inner-self heard the voice,

And all the more she implored.

For she felt a hush in her spirit,

Though still on the shore.

Looking up in wonder, she finds that she’s standing.

A smile crept to her face.

She remembers that she was once on the other side,

And now had something called faith.

Wonderful and true words written dear Melinda.
"Looking up in wonder, she finds that she’s standing.
A smile crept to her face.
She remembers that she was once on the other side,
And now had something called faith."
Without knowing faith. What are we? Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Amazing
I actually felt that feeling of faith when it overcomes you
Killing out all else
So beautiful
