The Hallelujah Day

The Hallelujah Day

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

The Hallelujah Day

There will come a day

So magnificent, so great

That every tear will be wiped

And no more shall cry  sorrow’s cry.

All burdens released,

And all pain will cease.

Replaced with God’s glory,

We shall truly be free.

To look in the wondrous face

Of He who took our place.

The reason we will rejoice

When to our King we will join.

The Hallelujah Day will come

When the Lord’s will be done.

The angels will sing

The glory of the King.

Hallelujah praises to His Name

Shall be heard in perfect refrain.

Beholding Him in all He is,

His Holiness forever to cherish.

The old life left behind,

As we adore Him in His marvelous Light.

No more night,

The Hallelujah Day is in sight!
