Into the StormA Poem by Melinda McQueenInto the Storm
Grey overcast skies, Pregnant angry clouds, Groan to the vision Just as the thunder sounds.
Lightning displays streaks Of electricity in a fiery glow. Splintering the sky Into a light show.
Claps of thunder Release a downpour of rain. Then, thunder vibrates And seems to grumble in pain.
Soon, the clouds part, Leaving the earth in damp mist. Tiny crystal droplets fall from leafy trees, The atmosphere, in quiet bliss.
The heart falls-- Falls even in uncertainties. Still, it looks ahead, Into the storm of possibilities.
