A Place Called Prayer

A Place Called Prayer

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

A Place Called Prayer

There’s a place of sweet surrender,

Where peace abides.

A gentle hush

Which always arise.

Accepted and loved

As nowhere else.

It quiets and humbles the soul,

A place called Prayer.

It’s there you can let it all out.

The tears that just wouldn’t fall.

The words not spoken.

It suddenly comes, all in all.

Tears pour like a fountain,

Filling God’s heart with more than words.

A sense of belonging,

A place called Prayer, visiting the Lord.

Having no walls,

Yet, there’s a door.

It flies wide open

With the Name of Jesus, the Lord.

Where there’s comfort,

Undeniable and steadfast.

The perfect Listener,

As in His Presence, you bask.

What a wondrous place,

Always open, always a safe haven of care.

His arms are opened in

A place called Prayer.

I agree dear Melinda. Prayers had great power.
"What a wondrous place,
Always open, always a safe haven of care.
His arms are opened in
A place called Prayer."
I loved the above lines and thank you for sharing the amazing and wonderful poetry.
