Nature's Blissful Pose

Nature's Blissful Pose

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Nature’s Blissful Pose

Grassy fields,

Hopping hills.

The picturesque landscape,

A beauty to intake.

The glorious fill.

Where birds abandon flight

To land and take in the sight.

Where squirrels gather acorns

And fawns are freely born.

Where crickets give song to the night.

Peace is still,

Earth breathes at will.

A blue sky pours rain

In perfect refrain.

The land refilled.

Where the eagle soars above,

And the breeze drifts the calling of a dove.

Where wildflowers sway

In the same.

Oh, the beauty thereof!

The morning grows

As the sun sleepily glows.

Awakening a new day

In all its shades.

Nature’s blissful pose.
