Silver StrandsA Poem by Melinda McQueenSilver Strands
Aged hands folded in prayer, sitting in her rocking chair. A lifetime of knowledge contained inside a pledge to show care.
Her memories still intact, she takes a look back. She smiles as she recalls her life… the highs and the falls. Silver strands flowing without lack.
They
formed her life-- Inside her heart they have a part. Memories in black and white.
in and out… in perfect rhyme. Tucked and wrapped, as her hands fold in her lap… silver strands bond her memories for all time.
