A Butterfly Set Free

 

The moment I woke,

I knew my life had changed.

A new beginning,
a new way.

 

I was taking a journey
through uncharted territory.

A huge leap forward,
a butterfly set free.

 

I first thought it a dream--
that it had only happened
in the imagination of my mind,
a vast stream to delve in.

 

But a mere dream, it wasn’t,
as it was my true reality.

I was coming forth,
a butterfly set free.

 

Having waited and prayed,
time to emerge from my cocoon
had come to pass,
my dream come true.

 

Let me fly about,
having faith to succeed.

Let my dreams enlarge within…
so I will always be a butterfly set free.
