What Shall I Fear?

What Shall I Fear?

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

What Shall I Fear?

How high Thy ways,

How Thou should be praised!

Thy Name sweet,

In Thee is retreat.

What shall I fear?

When I find Thee here

In the midst of my circumstance,

Where I find my second chance.

In this heart of Thine,

May purity find mine.

Strangle my ev’ry wrong

‘Til my heart sings Thy song.

What shall I fear?

When Thou art ever near,

My Protector in times of need,

My Lord ev’ry day of the week.

How gracious Thy acts,

Thy hand at my back.

Powerful Thy might,

And still have little me in Thy sight.

What shall I fear?

Or whom else shall I revere?

My fear is in Thee and Thy grace

‘Til, and ever after I behold Thy face.

It's a beautiful poem on reverence to the supreme Lord! When you feel His presence inside your heart, no fear can engulf you, you shall feel ever protected, eternally blissful... So many beautiful lines in this poem... I liked it
