In Closing Her EyesA Poem by Melinda McQueenIn Closing Her Eyes
Wading
in the water, It
had been a long while
The last year and a half has been hectic to say the least. Unheard
of troubles
She is grateful to get away and enjoy a bit of normalcy. If
but for a while,
Mini waves lap around her, creating a haven her own. In
the bluest sky she’s ever seen,
In
closing her eyes,
Soon,
she’d be back to work, Hoping
to be strong,
She’s
soaking in the beauty, She’ll need to close her eyes often, for she’s a nurse who prays.
