Staying
the course, The
turbulent sea raged,
Tossed
to and fro, The
sea threw her about,
Struggling
for breath, For
a moment she thought
The shore seemed far away, Only a dot in her small view. Knowing
it was there,
Suddenly,
the sea stopped breathing, Hearing
the sound of her heartbeat
The
waters soothed, Gathering
the serenity of the sea,
Little by little, she swam, ‘til at long last, she was upon the shore. Looking
back at the path she’d taken,
For the sea became wild once again, As though it had never calmed. It
was then she realized
