Fall is NighA Poem by Melinda McQueen
Fall is Nigh (A Sonnet)
Leaves crunching ‘neath me, A kind wind blows Away all my woes. The sun gently greets. Gingerly now the sun provides light With lessened force. Yet, how the earth, it adorns. Fall is nigh.
With cooler days just ahead, The outdoors is calling my name. Indeed, the leaves are fallen to their beds Of reds, yellows, and browns. Birds chirping in delight, Fall is coming back around.
