The Plain Truth

The Plain Truth

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

The Plain Truth

The plain truth

Is never hard to explain.

Of itself,

It proclaims.

There from the beginning,

And will forever be.

Lacking nothing

In its destiny.

The plain truth

Wraps itself in light.

Enfolding all it is

In plain sight.

The plain truth

Nestles inside all.

Waiting to be discovered,

It will not stall.

Reaching to uttermost parts,

Revealing its workings.

Distinguishing the lies,

Popping the bottle’s corking.

The plain truth

Always comes and remains.

The plain truth is amazingly

Extraordinary; He is never plain.
