A Topaz Sky

A Topaz Sky

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

A Topaz Sky

A topaz sky

Looks down upon the earth green.

How mighty the height.

Autumn breeze drift by

As fluffy clouds greet

A topaz sky.

A freshness abides

Over grassy hills beneath.

How mighty the height.

Gentle whisps rise,

Causing the eye to meet

A topaz sky.

Birds flying free,

Soaring the span of picturesque scenes.

How mighty the height.

Mountains tall appear to climb

Up to the heavens in their vast reach.

A topaz sky,

How mighty the height.

This poem paints a pretty fall picture. I like the repetition of "A topaz sky" and "How mighty the height". Nature provides us with a lot of inspiration.
