Believing Through the Shadows

Believing Through the Shadows

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Believing Through the Shadows

Slowly but surely, it creeps in,

Illuminating the divide.

Colors bold, yet soft,

Designed not to hide.

Feeding where cast,

Calling, that it be known.

Shadows only accentuate

Its beauty in three-fold.

Shining through grey days,

Ever upholding its integrity.

Coming from the depths,

Reaching in its own peace.

Peeking over the veil,

It grants strength to persevere.

Standing tall in the midst of pain,

Still, it’s here…

Safe in the heart,

Living on the inside.

Though at times, it’s invisible,

As the shadows seem to swallow, still, it resides…

Insisting to never give up,

With clasped hands, it keeps seeing.

Always there behind the scenes,

Faith keeps believing.

Hard to escape darkness dear Melinda. But we must.
"Insisting to never give up,
With clasped hands, it keeps seeing.
Always there behind the scenes,
Faith keeps believing."
I liked the strength of the above lines. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry.

Another poem from you dear Melinda on the subject of strong faith. Believing when you can't see through the shadows. You shine. Happy new year to you.
