In the Still

In the Still

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

In the Still

A gentle hush falls over me,

All the world naps.

I feel Your Presence indeed

As around me it wraps.

Quiet me with Your Spirit,

Sing unto me a new song.
Cause me to hear it

In the night long.

Let me soak--

Soak in Your love.

Until all fear is gone,

Let Your love be sung.

When I need Your touch,

You reach me where I am.

I call Your Name in a hush

As a little lamb.

Lord, let me be still,

To hear Your voice.

Ever in Your will,

Always my first choice.

Thanks for reading!
Dear Melinda. The words so gentle, so beautiful
"When I need Your touch,
You reach me where I am.
I call Your Name in a hush
As a little lamb."
The above lines. My favorite. Thank you dear poet for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
