Grains of Faith

Grains of Faith

 

On the shore of faith
one steps out into the unknown.

At first, those steps are timid,
a light tread all your own.

 

As time progresses,
so too, does one’s journey through the sand.

Ever moving, never standing still,
faith places one’s fear in the Master’s hand.

 

Packed tight
are the grains of faith.

A tiny substance, yet solid--
a firm path to take.

 

If ever you lose your way
and feel as though you may sink,
don’t stop, keep moving
and don’t you blink.

 

Standing strong,
dip your toes in the ocean’s tide.

Never think
the Master isn’t holding you tight.

 

Before long, you’ll look back
and see the impressions you’ve made

For every step you’ve taken
are upon grains of faith.
