A Special Birthday PartyA Poem by Melinda McQueen
A Special Birthday Party
Sitting alone in their favorite restaurant, Though she was there,
Even so, she was there She proceeded to take from her bag
Placing a candle, No, it wasn’t her birthday,
Upon noticing, So, rounding up diners,
“We want to sing” the waitress informed, The woman smiled at the kindness,
Grasping the band
What a sweet gesture
