Sunshine in My Face

Sun in My Face

 

Warmth from sky above

Touches me where I am parked.

A delightful rush

Delivers a start.

 

For memories pour

As happy times I trace.

My blessings I explore,

Sun in my face.

 

Like a warm hug,

I’m surrounded by love pure.

Comforted by my Maker’s touch,

In everything, You are the cure.

 

Life can be harsh,

Cutting deep in its shadowy place.

Yet here I am withstanding the dark;

Sun in my face

 

You, my Light,

Makes a way in every task.

Like a ray into my life,

Your Word, a light unto my path.

 

O how wonderful it will be

On that glorious and awestruck day…

When I clearly see the

Son before my face!
