Everything and Nothing

Everything and Nothing

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Everything and Nothing

Night and day

Comes to all.

Chance and fate

Short and tall.

Good and evil,

God the Creator

Made them both.

The healer, the slayer.

The found, the lost,

Destiny is for everyone.

Sweet suffering,

The mended, the undone.

Shadow and light,

The land and rolling sea.

Shallow and depth,

Full and empty.

Blessing and curse,

Love and hate.

Everything is,

Nothing to waste.

(My attempt to use juxtaposition in poetry.)

Very effective use of juxtaposition, Melinda. Nicely done!

Thank you!
I agree dear Melinda.
"Blessing and curse,
Love and hate.
Everything is,
Nothing to waste"
The above lines. We must understand. We must make everyday our best day. Thank you dear friend for sharing the outstanding poetry.

I'm glad to hear that! Thanks for reading.
You use juxtaposition so well here Melinda. It’s a pleasure to read you again. It has been a while.
