On This Side of Heaven

On This Side of Heaven

 

This ol’ world is vastly crumblin’ so,
yet, still it supports the bounty of life.

Seasons come, seasons go effortlessly,
on a whispering cloud time seems to ride.

 

There is an anchor unto our parched souls,
there to hold all, steadying hearts amid
the struggles and hardships of life’s trials;
we are on the other side of Heaven.

 

Longing hearts for eternity’s blessings,
living life day to day with assurance.

Grace given, mercy always extended

God’s Love applied, granting second chances.

 

Thankful hearts abundantly praise Jesus
for His eternal love has He given,

Though on His throne, He’s ever within reach,
Trustworthy is He on this side of Heaven.

 

Approachable is the King of our hearts,
fellowshipping ever with creation.

His enduring love ignites such a fire
within hearts in inspiring ovation.

 

Familiar with our many feeble ways,

He still chooses to dwell deep within.

Ever near is the Savior’s love for us,
as He is too, on this side of Heaven.
