Eternal Life

Eternal Life

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Eternal Life

O how glorious

Is the promise of the Lord and Savior,

Who gave Himself

So with God, we could have favor.

Leaving the Father’s side,

You came to abide here on earth.

Having a plan,

You, Jesus, were birthed.

Living a sinless life,

You taught and spoke the truth.

Obedient to the reason:

You were sent by God to be crucified

By the ones You cane to save.

For these--and for all--You died.

Making a way,

You, Jesus, brought eternal life to us.

Now You’re in heaven at the right hand

Of the Father, glorious.

Sending Your Holy Spirit
To live deep inside of mankind.

Someday we’ll be with You,

In heaven high.

But even now,

We are blessed to have Jesus Christ.

For You are Eternal Life!
