The Helper Inside`

The Helper Inside`

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

The Helper Inside

In the time

In the place

Where life

Intersects grace.

A dimension sought,

A hope that blesses the soul.

A connection made.

A seed to be sown.

The Door’s open

To be ushered through.

A quaking,

A knocking ensues.

Doubts flee,

Sorrow’s heart mends.

Stirring within,

The Helper is sent.

A rushing wind,

The Spirit comes to dwell.

An utterance,

A groaning to tell.

Cries are heard

And completely understood.

Reaching the One

Who hears tears’ flood.

Protector of souls,

And Professor of hearts.

Laying out yearnings,

To the Father impart.

A forever Friend

Willing to help from on high.

Thank You, Holy Spirit,

The Helper inside.
