Camp Eternal Love

Camp Eternal Love

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Camp Eternity

The campsite is filled

With the most excited little girls.

They are all gathered

In open gates of pearls.

Their eyes are wide

As they have never been to this campsite.

It outranks them all!

Where the greatest Host resides!

Like Camp Mystic,

They sing and praise their Lord,

But here… their eyes…

Behold the Living Word!

The little girls

Who were so filled with fear,

Now laugh and play.

God wiped away their tears.

Like Camp Mystic,

They share campfire stories of the Savior,

But instead of fire and wood,

Jesus, Himself, is the consuming fire!

Their first moments in glory,

They were filled with His radiant light.

Fearing no more, no longer

Counting the water as their plight.

For joy filled their beings

As they ran straight to the Father.

Now in Camp Eternal Love,

Safe with the Living Water.
