More and More

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

More and More

I bow my life

Into Your all-knowing hands.

I trust You in all times,

As Your Word stands.

How I love Your Word,

It nourishes me all the day long.

A piercing two-edged sword,

Tells how You righted wrong.

Your love I read,

And Your promises impart.

Your Word steadies

My seeking heart.

I find You here

Within the holy scriptures.

I feel You near,

Your love… pure.

A balm to my ev’ry wound,

Your Word heals my ev’ry hurt.

You make room

So that You are heard.

Thank You, Lord,

For Your promises… for Your Word.

May I ever explore

And know You more and more!
