The Fractored Soul

The Fractored Soul

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

The Fractured Soul

A well empty

Of water that quenches the thirst.

A longing for more,

For something to be birthed.

A longing deep

To fill a void that you may not know.

A kindling inside

The fractured soul

You have tried to fill it,

But nothing you do ever works.

No matter what,

You crave more.

This is because

There is a space inside"a hole

That only One can fill…

Healing the fractured soul.

For there is a place

Belonging to the Creator, only He can fill.

A secret place

Only meant for Him.

He is waiting

To take up residence, and show

That you are not

A fractured soul.
