I saw the Broken Man today

He had a broken smile.

He tried to hide the pain away

if only for awhile.

He had a Golden Dream

a dream as bright as day

But then the rain came in

and washed the dream away.

And now the Broken Man

who had the broken smile

Has a broken heart

if only for awhile.

I saw the Broken Man today...
