"The Life That You Live"

The life that you live is the story that’s told

    From the day you were born till the day you grow old.

Why am I here? And what will I do?

The path that you take is all up to you.

   

When I was a child I played childish games          

Now that I’m older every things changed

When I look out my window at the falling rain   

I think of my life, the sorrow and pain'

When I close my eyes, I hear my breath                

I think of life and I think of death.

When I open my eyes, I see His light

And then I remember I’m saved by Christ.

           

Even in death you’re never alone

For surely He’ll come and take you home.

So please remember these words that I write   

For even in death, will you find life.

Indeed He is the resurrection and the life and those who believe in Him shall never die. So the burdens we carry get lighter and death looses it's sting when we walk with Christ.

Lovely write! I think some people still have a hard time forgiving themselves of their past even when they know God does. People do crazy stuff, it's called life. Live, learn, and move on. Nice rhythm and rhyme to this piece as well.
