Silent Screams

Silent Screams

A Poem by Butch Decatoria
"

Frozen corpse

"

SILENT SCREAMS

Clarion cries to the skies

begin : captured in cryptic walls

this man's coffin / sarcofagus / prison

making unknown bones / existence / worms

wordless, loudest mind once squirmed

unsure if heard

in dark betweens

begin : reasons why

a caged bird sings denied its flight

recalls each wish

and what-could-have / should have been

as lonely kills softly / with doubt descends

his new death kind cannot relent

pleads like the carrion / crow / and clarion

cries to skies again black raven

again  again

six feet of disease / nor listening - grief

a soul doth freeze

a dirge to heaven / a corpse / decays

in silent screams...
