READYA Poem by Butch DecatoriaPontificating death....
How will you know to be ready
To let go of your time/ties here/now Detached in such co-dependency Stuck to family, feelings, lifeless needs How will you control the fear not knowing How will you understand yourself So quick and cruel to hurt and weigh With guilt and in the self delusions hate Confuse and ignore and shove away When do you let that chain unlink, if not today? Who will you picture in your last breath The ones who wronged you Or yourself in screams of loud regret? Time is magic in the blink of light Who will champion you beyond the night? What is waiting if nothing at all? Does not knowing amplify your fears Did you do good forgive mistakes and falls Are you ready to go beyond the walls What is darkness but life gone blind? Where is your story untold in sights Are you ready for that eternal night's Fateful heavenly fight... When you're ready The fear turns white. © 2014 Butch DecatoriaReviews
