Doxology

A Poem by Butch Decatoria

Doxology

I have been fast

With faults

in your efferent enthusiastics

this unlimited world I see

with its shade and shine;

its melodic pitches of tenderness,

even it's terrifying trials & animation;

I am temperate

humbled

that you have such DreamWorks

and savory screams

I understand

I must not / keep sin / secrets

but allow me to sing my skin's serenity

my deviant persuasions of pistols, pulsing

and I shall praise thee,

pledge a platform

in my heart's audience

for you--almighty in reach,

your hopes of rain

that teach

with firths of flair

its flavor & feats

humbled, I am,

to have been given a

                               heart beat...

living with your love within

giving of it unheededly.
