Art Of Happiness

Art Of Happiness

A Poem by Butch Decatoria

Art of Happiness

Hold steady, blazing breath!

understand this sight

the pleasure of his pixal form

those searchlight eyes

upon me

a sly sacrement

or an unspoken invitation

for skilled ceremonies

rites of sweat-soaked passage?

Slowly tread, learning lips!

understand this kiss

the joy of his rushlight lesson

these leveling hands

upon me

a moving violation

or ravenous validation

for sordid speak-and-aim,

justice for delights?

Common sense, remiss!

understand this leap

the art of happiness--pure release

and if i should break upon my fall

let me burst because

i have loved like Gammora's guilt for him

an art of my life's whim...
