High School Poem #1 - Light Tower

High School Poem #1 - Light Tower

A Poem by Butch Decatoria
"

These poems were written in years when I first fell in love with prose, verse, haiku, and beats...

"

Crashing - rage

in tangles of your deception

when you held me

with vigorous promises

sparse of truth

the rain and night

make you

swift companion

cradled me conviction (that)

you would be absolute

you never stay...

balanced resumed,

fierce meals

of tears

self-contrition

and i bravely forget.

the moon and morning

allow me

another shout of strength

light tower, searching

impossible places

to leave my delicate crimes

to matter, to shine
