Belief & Faith (In Us)

Belief & Faith (In Us)

A Poem by Butch Decatoria

Belief is the sensation of a breeze on our skin,

Faith is listening to it roar in our ears & minds,

yet naught seeing it with our eyes

and we know the trees are swaying to its music

Rustling and letting go

its old leaves - dry and brittle

which crunch under the boots of their feet.

Belief & Faith is no one

but for ourselves to feel,

it is like another secret for us to keep

inhale all that is ugly and good

in every scent we breathe,

exhale the bad

     Love and let it be...

some days the wind blows so loudly that I can't imagine I'm the only one to hear it

I like this. The brittle crunch of leaves. The secrets for you and I to keep. The love and let it be attitude of it.
