Try

Try

A Poem by Butch Decatoria

Try...

to traverse a hill of loose rocks

sharp like our routine of words

to one another,

it is like teaching numb flesh

why and how to touch, when

sex  willfully

abaccus a sensual climax

then recedes

the tides that intermingle and tingle

sometimes allowing it's vivid dreams

to mingle and take shape.

I am not  a skeptic of love, but

I doubt

you can be taught because it pains me

to try,

when I am not in your thoughts

professing that you love us...

I will try to be

more understanding...
