Untitled #2

Untitled #2

A Poem by Butch Decatoria

These decades defused by momentus

life / puppets on its strings / worries created

to IMAX size

disregarding "precious" ones - figurines

we are, always moving yet frozen still

and life / constantly leaving

lessons in love's priceless "moments" / galleries

abstract art critiqued

yet the obvious is not discussed...

wherefore art thou?

Love

an infant's coo / discovering a voice

belonging and encompassed

by a family's warmth

Light

which no one knows or notices

present company / presents of her divine smile

being in one another's presence

listening / understanding each of our plights

concerned... this is

how we love / the light

what we should want to feel

unseen in the rainstorm of life

but even when we look away

the light is always there

behind the clouds / inside our hearts

we know this to be

real

like love, light has no cost

or need to steal.
