By a supposed shrill of secrets

Inside a network of nimble names

Identity illusion by mischief’s confusing

They know me as though a Study on Shame

The window always allowing trust

To whisper inside

I have become a ragged book read

Uncared for in a library of opportunists

Who do not mind my pages ripped

They know the story and my passwords

My adoration written in bold text

Copied simply by the ease of it

Or rather for the wage of theft

It is the monopoly of mirrors

Multiplied and complex switch-a-roo

Bait and snare, confuse, deflect

Any curiosity or question

That investigates or tests

I am ED-TV on demand

My choices and destinations confirmed

By transplanting a doppelganger’s zest

Witness strengthening

The length of liars’ leisure

And occupational miss & re-address

Checkmate of one pawn

To checker-colored incest

Over powered by family and friends

With a hive or den of numbered

Possessions without regret

I bow to such prowess of legion

My truth defeated by their best

Intricacies of confusions

I fold to such a tribe

Of intentional chaos, unto

My surrendering, my hopes

In love’s wishful quest

Chase no longer my dawn’s light

Now fallen west

Defeated by lacking shade

Down to the mud, pressed

In sorrow’s defeat I shall build a nest

My flooded head disambiguated and made

To fade. Ingested. Raid.

Oh these days of games, laid to rest…
