Epitaph Of The Light

Epitaph Of The Light

A Poem by Butch Decatoria

Epitaph of the Light

Abundantly giving her daily warmth
Dispersing doubt and chill of storms
How many have flocked and have grown
Under her beams so worldly known

She will be missed as Life desists
Without her, our breath resists
Under her skeins effervesantly crowned
Our moments brighter, clear, sound

Around this earth, if she desists
Life and Love will cease to exist…

(What is obvious we are ignorant of,
These countless gifts, this bliss up above…)
