Hamanity, Love, Our Eternal Tree IIIA Poem by Butch DecatoriaPart III...
The business of Trust in our world is awhirl / in possessions / wind that spin and spends our lives / as our eyes observe only the minutes aging in the folds of dependency to fathers strengths / to be carried / up / up and away... This is a lazy market / to need - agonizing - a book's story to become the "Truth" / loyal on fables yet morbid with evils doomed and damning us in its illustrations / idols assumed statuesque, miriad, prophesied / murderous even to times of old / still the hand and the boot / that follow blindly the blind / the politics and the pious / the secrets of family / once alive in love's oceans / a planet that use to be / bright with futures / true blue. The business of worms who hide / bide studiously - placing apocolyptic signs / inhuman motives who feasts on our flesh / on daily truths defining / happiness / toward shadows of fears they puppeteer / Our guilt infallible / now with its endlessness / these tears that will flood walls / streets / and promises / to a war we - of ourselves only - defeat... Love is the wish and hope / understanding /which rises in our mornings setting with evening meals / venturing with news of each other's day, a feast of saints, and warriors of light / a family together at last / a world of peaceful moments logically brilliant / absolutely / with voice of reasons / bright... Humanity's freedom, love like an eternal tree/ foreshadows the night. © 2009 Butch Decatoria |
