Q-tip of Your Tongue

Q-tip of Your Tongue

A Poem by Butch Decatoria

Q-TIP OF YOUR TONGUE

after this steam saturation of skin;

hair - heavy with heat & the halo of morning
on the mirror, fog of fresh fever

your glow is creating breakfast for this hot hunger

clean on every effervescent inch;

yet to complete this itch, a lick of softness
at the entrance where sound begins

a slow twist and tingles erupt as if a gyser
giving way to a shower of singing

in this rain, i clear away old skin

closer to Light, the heaven you create with the tip
of your tongue's secret

succor inside the sensations of you....

hair - heavy with heat & the halo of morning

Brilliant line here.
But this whole piece is just right -
neither too hot or heavy, graceful or light,
yet in between: tangled, boiling, and free.

Truly enjoyed this.
A treasure to read.
