Just Be

Just Be

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

Sometimes I feel as if I'm falling
But to where I do not know
Question these things I always will
Confusion setting in

My memories I take with me
And these feelings in my heart
Though I am lost I am elated
Albeit broken, I feel whole

To question all that has been
But not ignore what came to be
Freedom and excessive
Now this past exists to take

Wonder do I, many times
Of things that will become
Of course, I always ponder
That is what makes up me

The road there to be traveled on
Feet don't fail me now
Of shoes I do have many
I shall walk barefoot if I must

Everything so vibrant
Curtains pulled back truth revealed
Imagined possibilities
The future is what I make

Do not call me an idealist
For you have to have a dream
It builds you, grows you stronger
Another lesson learned in life

Never should you fall apart
From your true self, never stray
Grace is offered, so accept it
Remain humble, be content
