Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

How much time must I spend waiting
Before I reach my goal
It seems as if action has ceased to be
But the fire, it still burns

I feel that you are testing
And I've yet to complete
What you want and what you have for me
When will I be done

An enigma, it surrounds me
My search not over yet
What pieces of the puzzle
And of them I've not found all

I sit here thinking misery
But that is not the plan
That's the illusion, there's no question
I must channel this pain

Give up, not I, stay humble
For I have yet to see
All the wonders that will happen
And this frees me up inside

I want to say it's over
But I know that it's not true
There was purpose, I have seen it
I must be on my way

The answer seems so simple
My mind knows how to achieve
And if I am to face failure
Protect and guide me when I stand

Yet to go on seems unnerving
But from this path I will not stray
I feel a wanting deep inside
What is the outcome of this to be

So move along, still travel
Patience while searching, remain free
Rest, I will, while waiting
When does this reach its and

A guiding piece that spells of hand-holding through this mire to reach ones end, well done, good read.
