Who says

Walking through the corridors of my school,

When I dream about my future plans

Framing the opportunities that will rule

I heard them saying “No you can't”.

Holding the files of my independent project, 

When I take steps to my boss cabin and

Thinking of my chances to excel the verdict 

I heard them saying “No you can’t”.

Colouring my world with love and peace

When I choose my partner of life

Imagining spending with happiness and ease

I heard them saying “No you can’t”.

Strange but true, every time it’s  a new step

When I decide upon something 

Whispering to my ears they keep on emphasizing 

And I hear them saying “No you can’t”.

Confused and violated one day

When I questioned them about their opinion 

Pondering on the fact that who are they to say

Laughing devilishly they said “We know you can’t”

To their surprise I never stopped 

Whenever they tried me to,

However steep and rough was the road

‘coz I knew they are none but my fear, anxiety and insecurities 

And on every encounter I turned to them and said “No you dare not”.

While taking stepping stones to success

When you hear someone stopping 

Ask yourself who says “You can’t”

Because even impossible says “ I m possible- I can”.
